| Haven't been here for long time, too much work! Anyway my question is I have win98 and install win2000 on 2 different separate HD.
Now I want to install RH on the same HD as win2000. We all know that Win2000 can dual boot with Win98. What about RH?
I know that we can used the System commander, Partition manager, ... any other way.
Comment, suggestion.

| It should work, but I've never tried this exact setup, so I can't say for sure. RedHat's placing Windows 2000 in the boot options menu shouldn't be a problem. The most likely problem that I can see is if RedHat can't resize the Windows 2000 partition (assuming that you're using NTFS, FAT32 resizes are no problem). You'd probably be able to find something about this on RedHat's website.
If you don't already have free space, and RedHat can't resize, Partition Magic would be a good choice. Make sure you get a version that can recognize NTFS 5.
Btw, make sure Windows 2000 is loaded before Linux, or you won't be able to boot into Linux. |
