managed to download redhat 7. please do i just burn the download 7.0-respin-disc1 to a cd or i have to do something to it first or just burn it straight to cd

You can't just copy the files directly onto a cd. It's an image file. From the cd writing software you are using, you select file, then open image file. Select the redhat images you downloaded (one at a time of course) and burn it from that. The image file then extracts all the files and folders from that image and burns it onto the cd so it can be used to install Linux.

hey guys or anyone. i want to dwl a linux copy that is 242mb(phatlinux). i am on a dialup, is there anyway i could dwl this epic into multi smaller zips ... something say 14 or so megs each?

You could, but don't you just want to do that so that you can download a little at a time? If that's the case, your best bet would be to use a download manager which lets you pause and resume downloads. My favorite one is Download Accelerator.

yes i will give Dwl Accelerator a try if i can find it. i have tried getright but it didnt seem to want to work with the phatlinux site.lol

i need some help to run setupfile from the phalnx dwl ( a 237mgs epic via dialup). i cant find the (VB6 Runtime) file to allow setup.exe file to install from win98 desktop? any and all coments or tips cherished!
