| Yes it is. The non-Unix OSs aren't even close to the performance levels that Unix provides so it's up to the different variant to compete. Looks like the duplicate posting bug has struck again.

| Well, I was using Netscape 6 at home for those other posts and I thought it may have been acting buggy, but it may have had something to do with the forum upgrades.
But I like the combination of copperation-competition that the Unix world provides. Most tech support that I have got has always been through lists and forums and not "professionals", and there seems to be a sense of community anout these products, but at the same time they are different enough to continually improve whereas a more monolithic structure like M$ or Novell seem to focus more on marketing than on individual creativity. Either way, it's good news for Unix junkies like me! |
