| Sun has added a free Solaris 8 download to their website. The server appears to be extremely busy right now, so you may want to wait a while before attempting to download. | |

| Solaris is a Unix variant owned my Sun Microsystems. It's designed around, and works best with Sun's hardware (SPARCs), but also works with Intel and Alpha based systems. Until this download was made available it costed $75 to purchase the Solaris CDs. |
