To Partition Or Not To Partition . . .
|

| I've just downloaded DragonLinux from www.dragonlinux.net/ and have been playing with it for the past few days. Normally, I use Caldera on a separate partition, but I decided to try this out -- it shares the same partition as a Windows 9x OS. It is stored in the C:\Dragon directory and doesn't require one to partition the drive up. DragonLinux is based on Slackware, so it's very stable . . . if anyone is interested in experimenting with Linux but are afraid to start partitioning your HDD up, this might be a good place to start. There is a very active support group for it at www.eGroups.com/ as well.

| Another distro that doesn't require partitioning is Phat Linux. It's slightly larger than DragonLinux but it gives you a little more to play with, like XMMS, Netscape, etc.

| I've heard of it but haven't tried it out yet. I have an old 386 here that I might try it out on, thanks. | |

| Ooops....I lied.
Was just at the PhatLinux site. The current version is 242MB. The previous one was 150MB. My goof.
Forgot that when i had somebody burn me a copy he zipped it.
