follow on to the other iCanProgram beginner courses
must have already installed and configured a Linux system on your PC
you will learn how to compile C programs and how to create Makefiles
you will learn how to connect your programs together with a simple messaging scheme
courses monthly on demand (minumum of 6 students)

I would be interested in taking this course, I just started learning C++, at school. I just have a couple of ?, 1. Where can I get Linux from? Can I get it for free? 2. Can I run Linux with Win2000? Thanks

Yes, you can run Linux and Windows 2000 together. Just be sure to load Windows 2000 first. If you have a CD recorder and a fast Internet connection you can download a Linux distro for free from www.linuxiso.org Otherwise you should be able to get a copy at most stores that sell software (Best Buy, CompUSA...).

Thanks Warfare. I just signed up and it looks like they are doing well. The earliest open class is May 2002.

My class starts in Feb. I think they have reached the quota of 120+ students (they never expected that!) thanks to my promotions
