Does anyone know if XP and Samba can communicate? I did some searching and was able to find some info that said that the two SHOULD be compatible with 2.2.1a and later, but not a definate yes or no.

Thanks.

I did some searching and was able to find some recently posted info on Samba's forums (apparantly this has been a very hot topic over the last 24 hours). I was able to find a lot of postings saying that for Samba with XP Professional to work, you need only change around some of the encryption settings. It's a good thing I looked this up because XP Home's networking capabilities are severely limited and I had to order two copies of XP today

In case anyone's wondering, I was able to setup the XP PCs with the Samba server w/o any trouble.
