I am dual booting between win 2000 and Mandrake 8. When I start up the lilo gives me a choice to boot into mandrake or nt .etc
but the default time setting is 4 sec .How can I change this ? How can I change the boot order so windows will be the default on top of the order . I am a newbie to linux.
Thanks

You need to edit the lilo.conf file.
open it with whatever editor you like.Look at timeout= and default= make your changes.
This file is in the /etc dir.Make a copy first. If you screw it up you could potentially lose your ability to boot to either installation.
