| does anyone know how to remove a grub bootloader?
someone put it on my 30GB drive after a mandrake install & I can't remove it....

| I know it's probably heresy in this forum but I want to bin linux off completely (at least until I'm more familiar with it) & put on w2000 - coz I want to install xchange 2000 & build a lab. I 'll probably do the linux thing a bit l8r...

| Just go into fdisk and remove all the Linux partitions. Once you've done that, the MBR will be restored to Windows either when you reload it or by issuing "fdisk /mbr". | |

No but seriously - thanks for that. I'd already binned off the partitions but still couldn't get rid of the grub prompt. I'd tried to get rid of the MBR but doing 'format /mbr' wouldn't exactly work now would it...
Yeah - thanks for sorting the problem & also helping me remember how to format the master boot record.
