| I'm going to be finishing up with my CCNP soon and want to add some kind of Unix cert to my resume and skill set. Does anyone have an opinion on which will be the most versatile (to potential employers) I've kind of been researching HP-UX, IBM AIX, and Sun Solaris. Any help will be much appreciated. | |

| As far as commercial Unix flavors go, Solaris is the most popular by far. Linux is growing exponentially, and BSD is big with webservers. RedHat Linux is huge with businesses. Keep in mind that the commercial variants are usually run on the large proprietary servers, and that Linux/BSD are usually run on PCs. My personal favorite is FreeBSD. |
