I passed 10Z-007 (with 91%). Want to write 147 but looks like we have to wait (till July 2003). Meanwhile I tried to look up for some info. on exam 147. After going through the Oracle site this is what I found.

--> 10Z-101 exam contents are similar to 1Z0-147.
--> Try to read the related info. for exam 101. Which I think will be very useful.
--> Looks like 147 exam will have some revised question for v 9i along with the other 101 questions.

I am already preparing for exam 1Z0-101, I just dont want to waste anytime. If possible I will write 101 and then see if there will be any upgrade exam for 147 -- or I might again write 147 exam in July.

PLEASE ....FRIENDS. Those who wrote 147 beta please clarify our doubt. Are these two exams (1Z0-101 and 1Z0-147) same.

Thanks

Hi. Thanks for the information. Can you please shed some light on how closely the 007 and 147 exam followed each other? And also if you could provide a cram?

Hints and Tips will be greatly helpfull.

For all of you....
The exam (1Z0-147) was of 1.5 hours duration.
Consisting of 71 questions out of which 5 were unmarked, which means that you'll be marked out 66. The pass number of questions is 51, so get 51/66 (close to 78%) and you are through. My study materials essentialy include the PL/SQL program units (101) study guide, as well as the SQL*International's PL/SQL 9i guide (which is Oracle Corps official courseware) volume 2 that had the additional information (Large Objects, UTIL_FILE, UTIL_HTTP, CALL, Using PL/SQL tables in functions etc).
Anything Else ???
And does anybody know anything yet about the 9i Forms exam??

dinz..

Please provide more detail on "SQL*International's PL/SQL 9i guide volume 2(official courseware)". I could not locate it online.

hi jpramlak,

Check out information at this site. The SQL* international material you were referring to is provided if you register to any appropriate course in the SQL * international.

Could you please help direct us in the areas that 147 covers? I just need to know what they emphasize. There's obviously no 1 book which covers this exam yet. I'm using the OCP PL/SQL program units but it obviously does not cover 9i.

It's also helpful just to know what's emphasized. I got bit on fundamentals 1 exam on the international emphasis regarding data storage which was not covered in the book. I think there was 3 questions on it and I had no idea I was even supposed to study it. Also, the SQL exam did not include the CASE statement. Who would have guessed that one of the most important SQL statements wouldn't even be covered?

It's just helpful to know where to concentrate our study. For example, do they really hit on every DBMS_LOB function and procedure? Memorizing these are useless unless the exam covers it. If I need to know, I look it up.

Any help appreciated.
