To Sexy Lexy: Censorship in this forum

| Hi Sexy Lexy,
since a few weeks I "notice" your censorship in this forum: threads are cutted down and "edited by moderator". Don't misunderstand me (maybe my English is not good enough to express it the way I feel): we both live in a "free" country where it is legitime to express oneself without restrictions if you do not insult others or violate "public interest".
Being censored that way is in my opinion an intrusion into privacy.
That one being censored are officially blamed: big master decided you did not right and everybody should see it!!
But there is another message:
Everyone else visiting this forum depends on your opinion what can be seen or not. And this makes me sad.
I never saw such an approach in any other forum. I for myself try to help others. Answering their questions motivates them to stay in this forum and finish their exams. This is the real intention of this forum.
Of course it's not ok to ask for braindumps or other copyrighted materials. But it is also possible to simply ignore these posts. If someone posts original exam questions or offends other people I would suggest to simply delete the thread. That one posting it, knows why (or can think about it) - but he or she is not "stigmatized" by doing wrong.
There are very few posts in this forum the last weeks. OK - it was never crowded. But there is remarkable less traffic the last time. Maybe this is because people visiting this forum are afraid being censored or getting harsh comments to their posts - or simply feel uncomfortable about "edited" threads.
Sorry for the rant ... | |

| No one is being censored in regards to freedom of speech. However, trading and requesting braindumps will not be tolerated.
The CCNA forum is moderated in the same fashion, no trading braindumps or exam questions.
Asking a legitimate question is a far cry from what has been plaguing this forum. I will not ignore posts that include the aforementioned problems.
No one is being blamed for doing anything that is honest or legitimate.
If the traffic has decreased then that is because certain members were using this site to trade, if that has been reduced then that is a good thing.
Hopefully people can post honest question and queries once again.

| You cannot ask for braindumps or cheat sheets in the forum. What you have to do, apparently, is click on the advertising banner abover this forum that advertises selling of braindumps and cheat sheets. So the moderator's point is this: don't ask for those items in a forum posting, but DO click on the advertising link that helps pay for this web site. Paying for your own copy of a brain dump or cheat sheet is much more noble or honorable than asking for those items in a forum. | |

| please do not force your ignorance on others.
If you have a problem with the way webmaster funds the site, send him a PM or quit posting.
I do not promote brain dumps from any company or anyone on here, next time get your facts straight before insinuating that I promote the advertisers of this site.
If you had to pay to use this site I'm sure you would not be here with your accusations.
Would you care to fund the site?
If you don't like it, leave.

Where, o where, do I come across as ignorant, or forcing any supposed ignorance on anyone else? Sounds like a little personal invective from you.

That is a legitimate point.

Did not say or insinuate you promote the advertisers, but merely stated the unstated part of your previous posting: the material is out there, but don't look for it in this forum. Which, by the way, I agree the forum should not be an exchange of material. But, I wouldn't get too high and mighty on people in the forum when the website itself promotes the use of test prep material.

Again, no accusations (ignorant reading on your part), but if you had to pay, you probably wouldn't be here either.

Sounds like your system could use a reboot. Some of the thought processes look a little stale. | |
