I'm about to begin studying for my OCA, but am not really sure on what books I should buy for self study. Any recommendations anyone can make would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking to take exams #1Z0-001 Introduction to Oracle: SQL and PL/SQL, and #1Z0-031 Oracle 9i Database: Fundamentals I.

If you are going 9i, then take 1Z0-007 first, not 1Z0-001.

I have found the Oracle Press Books hit the nail on the head for the cert exams, but don't expect anymore than that from them.

The Sybex books have far more information but some of it is not relevant to the cert exam.

Question is, do you just want to pass the exam or do you also want to be useful to an employer?? ;-)
