| How long do u guys think beofe the economy gets out of recession and the IT field again will gain enough momentum for IT skills to again be in high demand? | |
|
| We are already out of recession. The recession ended late last year, and was the shallowest on record.
There should be much more hiring in IT & other fields early next year. The most important thing right now is job stability, and having a BS degree (or greater), hopefully in IT or something technical. | |

| Hi:
Your guys are dreaming. So many people out of work and they have a hard time to find one due to so many low paid H1Bs moving around. Still INS is sending H1Bs from outside. Employers love H1Bs because of their wages and they don't care about the experience or qualifications. That is SAD.

| No recession in my area.
I think it was only a recession compared to the over hyped days of the late 90s.
I think calling it normalization would be more accurate.
Will they get back to those days again?
I don`t think so and they probably shouldn't.
Turns out the gravy train we were riding was built on smoke and mirrors for a large part, just look at Enron and worldcom for instance, they never did as good as they the public was led to believe.
It's not recession just reality setting in. |
