Hi all
i do not have much experience in database but my job gave an opportunity to work with oracle though not into the depths of it. i want to go for oracle certifications and get a brighter job oppotunuities as an application developer. please help me startup with your suggstions as where do i start and go ahead

you can go for OCP EXAM 8i ...it will helpful for your job search too..
books for ..
Sybex series... ExamCram books..
first you can go for PL/SQL paper..

i am going through the book Oracle 8 PL/SQL programming along with the orakle.com . is that sufficient? towards the exam.

Hai,
Yeah... Oracle PL/SQL book is Ok for your preparation... eventhough have a look in the book from SyBex Series PL/SQL guide for OCP.. this will give you a clear idea about PL/SQL OCP exam preparation..

hai..

mere reading the books would not help an way.. you need to test, practice and understand the subject.. in front of computer and not before books..

keep this in mind.. and plan for certification.. I think certification is not entertained by employeers these days.. they are looking for experiance ...

so be wise ...
