Hi folks, I am new to this are and curious about exam availability. I see some people needing 8/8i material but I thought they were expired. Are 9i exams the only ones out there. I am studying 9i for OCA to sharpen up and well round my education. Thanks for any help.......

hi traceroute,

The Oracle 8 OCP track retired on March 31st 2002.

Actually are two OCP tracks available:

8i - no retirement announced AFAIK
9i - quite new actually

Preparing for 9i OCA is a good decision if you are new to Oracle.

Hi Laloca, Thanks for your friendly response and advice. You answered another question by suggesting 9i. I will keep chugging. This stuff is cool and intersting.....
