| I have posted this thread in the past but didnt get any information. Does anyone have any useful information that they can add to this post on what the future job outlook is for Oracle DBA's? Is the demand for our skills going to continue and what other skills do we need to remain competitive as DBA's in the future?
Recent rumors about the job market saturation of MCSE's and their inability to find well paying jobs anymore has me worried. Hope this doesnt happen to Oracle anytime soon. | |

| A degree in Computer Science or MIS, plus an Oracle Certification should open alot of door for you, particularly if you want to be on the development or programming side. | |

| Hi Batman24,
Java is very important. All Oracle related job ads I see demand good Java skills.
Still a lot to do ...  |
