| I have finished 1z0-001 and 1z0-101 and
not sure whether I should go for the old
or new track.

You might wanna go with the new track since Oracle is set to retire the old one soon, but just double check with the Oracle website.

| Thanks for the advice regarding choice of
old and new track.
For the purpose of doing the developer exam.,
is Personal 8i Edition adequate to give me
a feel of Oracle? Or do I need something else
such as 8i Enterprise? | |

For learning purposes, according to me, 8i PE should be just fine. I have been using that through my Oracle certifications
