Well, there r couple of thing to suggest for A+ OS exam --
1) install win98, win2000, win nt 4.0 and play around with them
2) read books (sybex is a good choice or author 'Meyers') and try to do examples --> practice, practice, practice
3) If you have Transcender practice exam (or some other Questions/answers/explanations) pay close ATTENTION to EXPLANATIONS!
btw, OS is harder than hardware
