| If you need good logic behind the microsoft answers to the tests check out testking.com. | |

| You're probably not getting a lot of response, because you posted in the "Other", "Oracle Certs" forum.
In answer to your question though, I am also getting ready to test on 218. Bootcamps are fine if all you're concerned with is passing, but if you want to make sure you really understand the material you have to take different action. Hands on is best. Load yourself up a server so that you can reinforce everything that you read with something that you can actually see. Get a good book...not a cheat book (yet), but a good study guide. The one I chose is published by McGraw Hill / Osborne, written by Rory McCaw, Alan Simpson. $50 at Barnes and Noble. It's big, red on top and blue on bottom. Practice test CD included. I chose it because it's by the same people who's book I used to study for the Win2K Accelerated exam. In the front of the book the exam objectives are listed and elaborated on some. If the book you choose doesn't include the test objectives, then you need to get out on Microsoft's website and print them for yourself so you can check them off as you learn them.
Then if you're still not comfortable, get yourself a good cheat book similar to what exam cram was. (If you do this first then you will never really understand the "why" of what you're doing and even though you pass your test, you won't be able to solve real-world problems to the best of your ability.) Don't use the same publisher for your cheat book - you want variety and a different perspective on the Microsoft thought process.
Practice, Study, Practice, Study, TEST!!!
Good Luck! |
