I dont know if anyone one else had this problem, but I was going nuts trying to find a book that guides you step by step on installing Oracle Server onto different operating systems. The Sybex DBO book is a gem. It tells all and more getting into NT, Linux, etc. If youre going for DBA, you need this DBO book! The test is a snap. Its only 1.

Unfortunately I did not pass this exam. I took it two times. I used Jason Couchman's DBO Certification Exam Guide (it cost about $60.00). I used this book after using the Sybex book which proved to be an utter waste. I only use Oracle Press publications now. STS was of no use. All in all, there is no support whatsoever for this exam. You are totally on your own. You must be familiar with the DBA Studio and be able to connect the enterprise with the client via OMS. OMS does not install with the typical install. You must use custom and choose OMS if you want to use the Console/OEM.

The best thing about studying for this exam is that it prepares you for all of the exams in the DBA track. A great introduction to Oracle for those who have had no experience with it.
