Hi all,

I just finished the M$ SQL course at college,
and I intend to do the Oracle 8i DBA exam.
I have bought the Sybex Oracle 8i DBA study
guides.

Please advise which subject I should do first, Network Admin., Architecture & Admin.,
or Backup and Recovery etc.

I am more interested to find out if any one of subjects is the foundation of other subjects, e.g. do I need to know the stuff in
Architecture & Admin. before I can tackle
the Network Admin. or Backup Recovery exam.

Any advice will be deeply appreciated.

I would recommend taking the Intro to SQL first.

DBA Architecture and Admin Second...

Then anything else after that... perhaps backup/recovery and/or net admin...

I'd save Performance Tuning for last.. because in my opinion that's the hardest... and also it's something that you really need hands on experience with Oracle...

I will take the net admin tomorrow... but that doesn't look too hard...
