| Is there any difference between Developer 2000 and Developer 6? The reason I am getting confused is that I am currently in an Oracle course - books are Developer 2000, but what we have installed on our computer is Developer 6?
Thank you. | |

| Does anyone not really know this?
I'm new at this, so give me a break.

| Bhamoo,
On Oracle technet you can actually only find Developer 6i for download.
Developer/2000 was Release 2.0, after 2.1 came 6.0 and now we're on 6i (internet developer suite) ;-) So both Developer 2000 and Developer 6 are not "up to date".
Do you use Java for programming? JDeveloper?
Look on technet.oracle.com for further details!

| I know this stuff are older versions, but I just wasn't sure which version came first, etc and how different they may be, so now I know.
To be quite honest, I find Oracle's web site a mess and very difficult to find information, especially with older products.
Thanks |
