| Hi- man is this forum sparce or what. I guess the majority are jumping on the MSCE and CCNA bandwagon. Oracle DBA is well respected in the industry too last time I checked. There are good paying jobs out there too.
I'm starting with the 8i DBO simply to get an overview of Oracle before diving into the DBA. There aren't too many books out there for 8i DBO yet.
There are more study materials for 8 than 8i, like Troytec and Selftest software, so if all else fails you can study for and take the version 8 exams, then take the upgrade exam for 8i.
I'm in the midst of studying for I-net+ now, but right after it's Oracle all the way. Hopefully this forum will get more activity soon. |
