Yes good point.
I did find that out (luckily not the hard way). As I understand it of you want to install application to be published be sure to use either command prompt change user /install (and then change user /execute when install is complete) or go through control pane add/remove programs for install and it will automatically install in "install mode.

Now if you want to install a program on the server and DO not want it published you can launch install from CD, run command etc ...

If my understanding of this incorreect please feel free to comment and correct.

Thanks
Manny

Installation using the windows installer under windows 2000 advanced server of som eprograms seems to take issue with just installing from the cd for admin use only. I tried this with office 2k for kicks on a test system and it wouldnt let me install even with add remove programs until i built a custom deployment file for terminal server.

Delucam,
To Install OFfice 2000 on Citrix you there is a special install you have get from MS.
I beleive its avail on there Office website.
We ran into this issure ourselves , fortunately the Contractor who did the initial Citrix install had this fix ...

If you can't find it on the MS web look thru online Technet/ Knowelege Base. If you get know where with that , leave a post saying so and I'll look inot further.

Good Luck.

well guys, I still believe that the printers are the biggest issues for citrix. I have done the NT server cluster configuration along with citrix and everything was going smooth. Until one day people started calling in because they couldn't access their printers. As for Office 2000 installation, you have to make one change and should work fine. As per the test, its a peace a cake. I remember when I went to take it I felt very nervous but I just went in there and kicked *** . The test was not even hard compared to the Cisco exams I have taken. It took me exactly 15 MIN to finish the exam and I finished with a 93.

Elaztek, which books did you use to study? I am interested in this cert myself.
