CIW Foundations for Dummies

| Hi
Just a quick question. I have to do the Foundations exam in about 2 months. I was wondering if anybody used the CIW Foundation for Dummies book to do this exam.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

| CIW Foundations for Dummies is an excellent book. It covers everything without a lot of extra fluff and is pretty inexpensive. I passed Foundations using this book and some free study guides. I needed the supplemental material because I had no previous knowledge on networks and wasn't able to pick it up from the book alone.

| I took the foundation test last August and I did not use the book. Passed it with and 82%. I think you can get enough info off the internet without having to purchase a book. Try searching for practice exams, I think if you decide to purchase, that would be the way to go. Also, lots of free info out there. |
