Hello-

Are there specific books for IT that deal with resume/cover letters/interviews questions?
Thanks,

i find that about.com provides helpful structures for one to build a resume/coverletter

I recommend: Dynamic Cover letters by Katharine Hansen, and The Resume Handbook by Arthur Rosenberg

You might try leafing through these two titles:

Ace the IT Resume! (Paula Moreira/Robyn Thorpe) & Ace the IT Job Interview! (Moreira)

I own the "IT Resume" book and have found it to be quite helpful. I haven't read the "IT Job Interview" but it looks like a follow up to "IT Resume" and it is written by the same author. Good luck.

sorry this is a month after last post, just happened to be skimming thru this forum, never looked before...

Thought i'd toss in my 2 cents for the IT res books >> i just bought both the Ace books by Paula Moreira. I found the Interview book extremely helpful. It has been a very long time since my last interview and resume update, and had seen these books advertised. I'd already had to rush my res off to a position that came up very suddenly (well i wasn't quite ready to "look" yet...), so i didn't really delve into the resume one too heavily. I DID just about read the interview one cover to cover the days b4 my int!! Not only does it give you ways to answer those tough questions with a more positive spin, but there is a whole section devoted to very specific technical definitions and interview questions by the job description/title. This book could serve as just a reference in the future, even if i never go on another interview (yes i know, not likely).

Just my suggestion.http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/A...6834652-4175225
