I recieved an email contains the Advertise, which cert21.com has sent to me about their offering "Complete 7 Exams MCSE Training on CD-Rom for only $99". The package includes exams 70-210, 70-215, 70-216, 70-217, 70-219, 70-220, and 70-221. I really don't know, what is the four default CORE exams, and three elective exams. For the elective, Do I have a change to pick any 3 elective within MCSE Cert. Beside this training CD-Rom, which books or material, do you folks recommend?. PLease feed as much as information you can. Truthly appreciate your advices and helps. Wish everyone have a wonderful weekend.

You might want to have a look here for the MCSE requirements:

Also, keep in mind that if one of your elective exams for the MCSE is 218, then you will also get the MCSA certification.

As for recommended materials. I went with the MS Press Training Kits. Stepped through the books for 210 and 215 (spent much more time with 210 than the 215 book) and did the exercises along the way. To really do this right, you need to have at least 2 PC's. One running Pro and the other running Server so that you can practice creating a domain and joining a workstation to that domain, etc.

I always use two sets of books for every test I take and many folks suggest the second book be by New Riders. I made the mistake and chose Sybex - I don't recommend them for these tests. They left an awful lot of material out of their books. Like the command line switches! They were sort of important on my tests

As for the training software. I use the CD's offered by www.testout.com. I like the format they are presented in. Don't know anything at all about the quality of the CD's being offered to you for only $99.

Welcome to ExamNotes - this is a great community and you'll find lots of help along the way. All we ask is that you study hard and put forth the effort to help yourself.

pavlov,

Thank you for viewing my message and thanks for your recommendation. I'm shopping those books from MS Press now, for the future used. However, I shot for the A+, Network+, and MCSA and MCSE will be next. Once again, thanks for your help and nice welcome. Everyone is so nice and helpful in here.
