Does mike meyer's book cover windows NT sufficiently?

| I'm planning on taking the A+ certification exam. I've read in this forum that mike meyer's all in one book is good and I plan on using it for self study. For those who are familiar with the book, does it cover windows NT and 2000 sufficiently? I think I came across a review that says otherwise.
I know my way around windows 95,98, and ME but I haven't had any experience with NT and 2000. That's why I need a good book to make up for this. Any recommendations?

| The fourth edition book should. But if you do in fact read his book cover to cover you for sure would be ready.

| Actually, the fourth edition is only a cosmetic upgrade to the third edition. The 4th edition was just to fix typo's etc., and does not contain any new material that was not in the 3rd edition.
Therefore - the All-In-One book is light on the NT side in both the third and fourth editions. | |

| I just checked out Mike Meyer's All In One A+ book at the bookstore and didn't see much reference to NT in it. The OS part of the A+ Exam can be tricky. When I sat for it in November, I was expecting to see a lot of Windows 2000 questions. I did get some W2K questions, but I was surprised to see several NT questions. Fortunately, I have done some consulting work at several companies that used NT so I was able to get by.
I'm not sure how much the OS test has changed over the past few months. If you have access to an NT workstation, you might want to play around with it. You could also pick up some NT books. Mark Minasi's NT books are excellent. But probably the best move if you don't have access to NT, is to get some good test prep. As I recall, the cert21 A+ OS questions had a bunch of NT questions as did the Exam Drill A+ OS program.
I still wouldn't sweat too much over NT. At the most you will get three to four NT questions and provided you do well on the rest of the test, you will pass. Remember, you only need a 598 out of 900 to pass the test. That does leave some margin for wrong answers. Although, I'm sure you want to get every question right :-)
