I thought this might prove useful for those pursuing Server+. It took me about a month and a half to finish reading through all the books I picked up. I did not want to underestimate the test so it may sound like overkill, but here goes...

Server+ Bible by T.Kay (Hungry Minds) - this book is an excellent preparation book, but does not include any specific exercises to do, like many of the other books listed here. There are some editing issues, but you can spot them. Included CD has test engine, unfortunately, nowhere near the toughness of the actual test

Server+ Certification Training Kit (Microsoft Press) - for all the flak that MS books get for their dryness, this book is very informative and covers all the bases. However, I did 'zone' out a couple of times. There are lab exercises to flesh out the concepts in the book. The CD is worthless as usual.

Server+ Certification for Dummies by R.Gilster & M.Glencross (Hungry Minds) - Relatively a quick read to some of the other meatier books. Offers great insight and tips, but not as in-depth as the above two. The included CD has a decent test engine, but again, not indicative of the actual test questions. Plus, some of the questions seem to be the same as the one from Server+ Bible. It may be due to the fact both books are published by Hungry Minds.

Server+ Exam Cram by the Haralsons (Coriolis) - Someone told me that Exam Crams are hit and miss. So very true as I found out. This book doesn't bring anything to the table, except more practice questions if you need them. There are some annoying editing issues in this book. This is one book that you should sit and read at Barnes & Noble.

Server+ Study Guide 2nd Ed. by B. Hryhoruk (Sybex) - Overall, a decent book, but weak coverage on SCSI, tape backup devices and media, backup rotation schemes puts this below the pack. The included CD however, is pretty decent.

Hope this helps those interested.
