...In a word the book you mentioned is lacking in the majority of areas!

Two of the best are:

Mike Meyers/Tracey Rosenblath A+ Certification Passport

A+ Adaptive Exams by Christopher A. Crayton

Hope this helps...

Hey glad to be of service…

As Cross mentioned it might pay to shop around especially online, as a general rule of thumb I would proceed to the nearest library and check out the writing style and content for yourself first.

Thus u can gauge the level of book u require to study, remember both books I mentioned focus only on what one really needs to know to ace those tests.

If you need more in depth study material look for the A+ books that resemble the bible lol, Mike Meyers does a couple and is highly regarded in this particular field.

Oh below are the ISBN numbers for the after mentioned books in question:

Mike Meyers/Tracey Rosenblath A+ Certification passport - ISBN 0-07-219363-8

A+ Adaptive Exams by Christopher A. Crayton - ISBN 1584500654

Happy shopping

Mike's book is the one I used and I passed. I'd recommend practice questions too - and lots of them.

I am using Mike's books to prepare for A+ certification, and they are excellent. I recommend using all three of them together.

How much more is updated between Mike Meyer's 3rd Edition book and his Fourth Edition book. I have the Third addition, and would like to know what is new in the 4th one.

...Changes include updated material covering current technologies and I believe a new pre-assessment exam.

As with any study book or materials always ensure the data/information is current.

Thus I would suggest you click on the link below to view the most current updates via errata details for the 3rd Edition.

Hope this helps...
