Has anyone used the text and lab book set by Marcraft? I have the set for the i-Net+ exam. I think they're well done. I was just curious if anyone else had put the money out for these books???

I have the Marcraft books for both the A+ (old objectives) and Network+. I took some classes and these were the texts that were used. I found that even though they were very informative, they went alot deeper (technically speaking)into the subject matter than you needed to know for the exams. I thought that the books were overkill for both the exams. Nice reference books, tough study guides. Just my opinion.

Hi,

I think it was from your posting that I went out to look for the i-Net+ book. I just received it and find that it is more comprehensive than, Groth, and some others. But the big feature that I like is the ExamGear test engine. That thing rocks! It tells you what to study on and tunes you up. I'm doing 94+% on cert21 exams right now and barely got 70% on the ExamGear test. It didn't take long to focus on what I was short on. I'm a big believer that you need more than one source for studying. I always use two or three sources. I figure if you can answer 400-500 questions about a certain subject you should be able to go in and pass the test, if not smoke it. But one of the more important aspects of using multiple sources is for accuracy. Granted the material should be accurate, but I've found mistakes in all of them. I'm sure there are going to be testQ's that aren't 100% and you should be able to figure that out. If nothing else you should then be able to figure out what answer they are looking for.
Continued Good Luck to everyone certifying!

I just loaded ExamGear up this morning and scored an 83% on it. I agree with you, it's a great test engine.
