| Security is a broad area. You need to have a good understanding of TCP/IP and OSI model( at the very least ). If you are new to it and want to learn about firewalls. "Firewalls for Dummies" ( don't let the name fool ya' ) is an excellent basic foundation book about firewalls.
If you are looking for information on checkpoint try "Essential checkpoint Firewall-1 - an Installation, Configuration, and Troubleshooting Guide" by Welch-Abernathy( Best if you have the software to go with it ).
You could also try searching on Amazon.com under security. Read reviews and see what tickles your fancy.
Search on the web and you will find a ton of information on security.
