Trying to get feedback from anyone that has used the Troy for taking this test.

I would prefer not to have to take all of the exams for MCSE W2K and I'm willing to be patient and wait for testing materials and good books to come out.

Is my wait over?

W2K has been out for almost a year now , and so you will find a great deal of variety of study material in the stores , if you are refering to troytec study materials , I would advise you not to waste your money , since they are lifted from most of the free online stuff , and braindumps , and are filled with errors .

I found Troytec to be on the money - I just wish I had more time to study for the exam.

While Troytec is a good STUDY GUIDE. I would not reccomend using it as your only material to prepare for the test....

I have passed several tests using troy tech
material, actually all except workstation and server, used it also for A+ although they are
good and some of the questions are on the money
I'd have to say only about 50% to 65% of the time
the same questions are in troy. I am using them
also for my last test for MCSE in 40 which is
Exchange server 55.
I have the troy 70-240 for troy and for professional I will probably also use when I get
to 2000.
along with that I also have the transcenders
70-240 tests for the 4 core. which I've heard
from several people who took this test, that
they were too also on the money.

I guess what I was trying to say, as much as these
notes are good, don't just depend on them alone
or braindumps.

Oh, yeah....HI everyone. I will be (hopefully)
in this group after the first tuesday in April

Troy's guide was very usefull for me in IIS 4.0 exam...
I will use the Troy's guide to 70-240, but I had all core classes and have all MOC materials to prepare mself to this exam...

I recommend something like 60 hours to study, I plan to use Transcenders too...

Remember, guys, MCSE exams require dedication...

Good luck to all.

Well, I have sit most of the Windows 2000 exams, and I have a chance to look at Troytech accelerate study guide after I got my MCSE in W2K. All I can say is they are far away from the real one. And you get what you pay for.

To tackle the exams, I join a 15 day full time MCSE course, buy an additional PC, the Windows 2000 resource kit, 2000 professional resource kit, the MS Press MCSE training kit and 3 month full time study. Cost me about US$3000 and more than 300 hours of study. Not counting the lost of income.

So now what do you expect from Troytech guide for what you have pay?

I hope that you readed my post after exam...

You should consider that there are some things in guys like you, me and all users of forums like this that has very different "financial reality" and problems with having time and infrastructure to study to an exam, no matter what kind of it.

In a case of MCSE 2000 you did nothing but the fully desirible requirement to study and you really shold be proud of it...

But you are minority, you are privilegied, almost all of us have no financial conditions to spend U$3000 on a second CPU and etc... I guess that someone can be offended by what you said on your reply...

So keep this one for you: ALL kind of studying methodology are valid and efficient since It's done with dedication and in the right way.

Congrats to you that accomplished this, because we all are in same boat.

I also would like to know if troytech is worth the money. I work with windows 2000 daily at work but know how MS is with their tests. Is is worth buying?

Instead of troytec, i can suggest you to use the test preps from mcpquestionbank.com . I've used them for my core and elective exams, but many of my friends have passed using their accelerated test. I think u can rate them after the transcenders, but price wise, they are cooool.
