| I am planning on taking the Accelerated exam 70-240 somewhere around october/november. Does anyone know if the MCSE NT4 certification I have will still be valid after 31st Dec.2001 ?
I guess my question is : Do I need to pass ALL the exams for MCSE 2000 before 31st. Dec 2001, or can i pass the accelerated (or even individual 210,215,216 and 217) in order to keep the MCSE NT4 certification valid ?
appreciate any input | |

| The NT 4.0 MCSE goes away on 01/01/02, period. In order to be an MCSE in Microsoft's eyes, you must be a W2K MCSE. To do this, you must pass either the 240 or the separate 210, 215, 216, and 217 exams, along with one of the three design exams. Also, you must have passed 2 current electives.
A company called LANOP (www.lanop.com) is testing for NT certification now, and they will continue to issue certification for NT after 12/31/01. They are also giving current NT MCSEs the opportunity to grandfather in to their certification (called NT-CIP) if you provide them proof of your MCSE status. It doesn't cost anything for the grandfathering, but to take their tests, I understand the individual exams are $125. You can double-check that on their web site. |
