| Any suggestions on what to study for the 240 exam?????? Really looking to just skip the 240 and move on to each individually what do you think??????  | |

| I like Alan Carter's: Windows 2000 MCSE Study System... ISBN: 0-7645-4701-1. I also have the Microsoft Press kit but I find more answers in my book.
Why not try the 240??? If you are ready to resign yourself to taking them all the worst thing that can happen -- is that you have to. You are going to need similar books for either choice, and the test is free. So you fail -- then you take the individual... But if you pass, you save some $$$ and still learn the same material!

| I decided to take one at a time. But after knocking down W2K Pro, I've decided I'm going to do Server by itself as well, but I'm going to try the Accelerated sometime after Server. (Nothing to lose but 4 hours of my life!) Today I ordered the Troytec for the Accelerated. I used Troytec for Pro, and it really rounded out my preparation (MS Press Advanced Learning Series, Coriolis Core Four 2000, and Alan Carter's w2K MCSE Study System).
I'm going to do Server because it's got a lot in common with Pro, and I've already paid for the exam. What the hey.
I also agree with SasiSan about Carter's book, it's an excellent resource. It not only has a lot of screen shots, but breaks things down step by step by step.
The advantage I have now (if you want to call it that) is that I've taken one W2K exam and passed it, so now I have at the very least a W2K MCP.
