I have quite a lot of experience doing IT tests. I am an MCSE+Internet, CCNA, Network+ & i-Net+.

The following combination ALWAYS worked for me:

1. SYBEX - Study Guide (to Learn the Topic)
2. Coriolis - Exam CRAM (to Review before the Exam)

Of course, each exam that I did had a slightly different tempo & feel to it, and sometimes I'd look elsewhere for additional info (MS Press, MS Readiness Reviews, Internet boards....). However, the SYBEX + CORIOLIS to this day remains the MAIN prep-tool. I never failed the test, and I surely don't want to start NOW :-)

As I get ready for Win2000 Accelerated, I went out and purchased the following:

1. SYBEX Win2000 CORE FOUR STUDY GIUDES (Boxed Set)

2. CORIOLIS Exam CRAM CORE FOUR (Boxed Set)

and I still want the good, WIN2000 ACCEL. Study Guide to wrap up the knowledge and reinforce the subjects.....

There are 4 choices availabe out there:

1. SYBEX STUDY GUIDE
2. CORIOLIS EXAM PREP
3. NEW RIDERS W2K Accel.
4. SYNGRESS/OSSBOURNE

I went to Amazon.com to see the reviews, and they are all more or less, very close... (4 1/2 stars).

WHAT DO YOU THINK. WHICH ONE SHOULD I BUY!

Thanks for your posts,

They are what I am using...looked at the others before I bought them though and these 2 seem easier to read/understand.

IMHO Yeti
P.S. I aslo use the MS Training Kit for the Windows 2000 CORE

Yeah, the Syngress by Osbourne study guide is pretty good, but a little confusing. I heard really good things about Exam Prep. What about MS PRESS, does that work for you.

Good Luck!

Carline,

I used MS Press for a number of my NT exams, but only as a supporting material.

Some of the MS Press book are very good, others not-so. There seems to be a wide fluctuation in their quality, relevance to exam topics and complexity.

Although I am s SYBEX/Coriolis fan, I felt more comfortable reading MS Press, as well. However, my last few exams, I skipped MS Pree altogether and I did not hurt a bit.

So, the answer to your question is: depends!

I am NOT going to use their Training Material, becouse I know that there are much better ones out there, with clear down-to-earth explanations, excellent layouts with quite enough Labs, Examples and Test Questions. Also, they are by far the most expensive books to buy.

That is why I did not even include them in my original post.
