| There are a few topics covered in 221 that you may or may not have gotten from your studies for 216. I don't recall any QoS questions in 221, but there were definitely some interoperability questions in 221. You can get all the information you need on interoperability from the Resource Kit. | |

| Thanks Jeff, I'm just getting into chapter 3 of the MOC right now, I read as far as chapter 5 during 216 study but have decided to start all over again as was basically undigestable at the time, its seems a little easier to absorb now. | |

| I passed this exam today! w00t w00t
not overly hard, just a pain reading the info.
There was a DHCP super scope drag n drop, and a long subnetting question, i had no calculator ehehe....
No QoS...
Very Passable exam.
If you administered a 2k network and have setup various servers eg, DNS.. Youll Be ok...
There was a question about dragndrop CSU/DSU units, dont know what the hell they are...
but that q sucked

I felt the same way. The material is basically the same as what you encountered on the 216, just presented in a different format. Some questions are very easy, others are quite challenging, but if you can handle the case study format, you'll be fine.
Hardest thing I found with this exam is keeping focused. After reading through the first two case studies and answering the questions I found myself skimming over the last two case studies presented and then having to go back a read again to get the tidbits of relevant information buried within the case study backround dialog. You have plenty of time to complete the exam so that it really not too much a concern/constraint if you have a solid understanding of the 216 material.
The case studies are a little dry at times so just make sure you drink a big cup of coffee before the exam.

| Yeah, as this was the last one I took towards my MCSE. I was not feeling too patient. Like, SPID said, you just start skimming, heck I did not even review my answers, even though I had lot's of time left, I just pushed the 'End Exam' button.
I normally try to take each question in a regular exam one-by-one. Doing three case study format exams on less than three months left me kinda glazed. Try to find a way to take each case one-by-one and have a little mental break in between. I thought this was the hardest of the design exams, but it is not that hard in all. | |

| No problem. I am really fortunate, in that within a 10 mile radius I have at least 5 testing centers. The worst I have to look forward to is the dungeonesque test center conditions and the idiot drivers that flock to Tempe and Mesa.

| He resigned the other day. I work whacked hours, but it's a job, it pays and it is hardly what could be termed "work".
