The temple of the '216', will be the next journey. Where the confrontation with the beast is inevitable. Actually planned to meet up a year ago-the dust and spider-web on the book was the signs of abandonment, but deciding on strategic plan over swift attack, wisely decided to take time to put on some lean muscle and armour before the confrontation. I would spend at least 1 month to get all the facts in my head as well as the familarisation of the steps of the core components. Then probably will need to read Chapter 6 of Technet , Transcenders for about 3 weeks, allow some day off before the torment.
Be some time until then, see you guys around

Congratulations,

I would love to hear which one you thought was the hardest out of 219 and 216 when you pass 216.

My money is still on 219 as I don't have a metropolitan WAN to build an Active Directory structure

This exam was the hardest out of all the exams from the W2K track and I spent twice as much time on revision for 219 than for any of the others.

You got a score as well!

Jeff, how is Exchange 2000 going??????

I'm doing a brief overview of Exchange 5.5 right now including actual installation and operation, hands-on. Then I will resume a brisker Exchange 2000 pace. Two heads up on this one though...
1) Exchange Titanium due out middle of this year.
2) Exchange 2000 will not be supported running on .Net Server. (IE: not work)
According to articles I have been reading the last few days.
Also due out are upgrade exams for MCSE 2000 to MCSE .Net. Gonna be a busy year!!!

Really? Exchange Titanium will not work on a Windows 2000 platform?

That was worth the last three months or so learning as much as I could about Exchange 2000!

I think I'll stick to the CCNA instead.

I was wondering how to fit the .NET exams in between everything else this year, especially as most people haven't even deployed Windows 2000 yet I was wondering if it was really necessary to start the .NET track as soon as it becomes available.

I think I’ll hold off on that for a while anyway.

It looks like an "interesting" year ahead, exam wise anyway!

Have the same thought as Sexy Lexy, never heard of 219 Design Question mentioning anything abt The .net stuffs .
Talk about 'change', I'm having problem keeping up
I might as well pick-up some skill and become a 'barber' instead

Oright, I'll keep posted on the findings on whether 219 is harder than the 216 or vice versa. Seems like it's not going to be agreeable to everyone, as not one individual has the same exposure as the others, it's depends.

Now I've to put the 'Titanium' aside, and concentrate on the 216.

Till then

Lex...

Maybe Titanium will run on 2k, but Exchange 2k will not be supported on .Net. I think there's a difference in AD between Win2k and .Net.

I know that you can partition the Active Directory on what is now know as Windows 2003 (Software formally known as .NET) but if that is the case then you will have to do an upgrade of the O/S to run Itanium which will deter most from implementing the newer version.

Exchange 5.5 has been kicking around for ages and is still going strong, so if that is any indication of people choosing not to upgrade then the powers that be should think long and hard about the way forward.

Yeah, we have not moved to 2k in my organization, as well. Running Exchange 5.5. It is indeed a tricky time to be the decision maker.

braindump.biz helped me pass 216 for sure, along with XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. those are the main study guides that i used, but i did think that the exam was very difficult. not certain of my score? good luck!

So you are saying that you cheated as you knew the answers before you sat the exam?

Brain dumps are not study guides they are an easy alternative to learning and studying.

Just thought I would chime in on this subject. I got .NET Server 2003 (beta), Exchange 2003 (beta), Office 11 (beta), and the Resource CD for all the above from M$. I am currently running .NET 2003 Server. I have not installed Exchange 2003 as of yet, but sometime soon. I have been busy with preparing for the XP Professional exam. Office 11 was installed on my XP box and is "playing" nicely. I like some of the new features, especially Outlook. I will give a "report" in the near future on Exchange 2003 (provided I don't blow up my server)

Yeah, I just got this kit too!! What a deal!!! Just a procesing fee for the set. Great resource for the .NET certifications to come very soon. I will be ready for 2003, probably in two or three months. Looking forward to playind with AD here. Multiple directories, with a Metadata component to connect directories.
