Now I`ll try to give some tips that should help you to pass. I`m comming from austria so my language is german I`hope I make no mistakes....
Keypoint`s
1.) Allways search for password ploicies. If the company want a different password sheme to some destination, for instance north and east, so you must have 2 domains to reach this goal.
2.) If there 2 locations for instance north and south and the company want`s to seperate them in 2 parts because of any reason, but also want the administration central so the best and the internetpresents too, so the best way is to build 2 subdomains and an empty root domain where the administrators are placed.
3.) Allways be carefull in Win2k the most delegation is concentratet on UOs so never plan more domains than necersarry. Just look at the reasons 1, 2 If there is no reason like this (of course there are other reasons too) just build one domain and take the different sites and department in uos.
4.) Sites are very important. Always look at the connections between the different destinations of the department`s. And concerning of this you will see what you must do. Generally put every Destination in one Site and activate the replication.
5.) Be carefully about the timewindows if you plan a replication. allways try to keep the AD consitent.
6.) Remember there are no Push operations on Win2k everithing is pulled.
7.) If a Company wan`t to secure intern communication choose i`psec.
8.) Also remember datails from 70-217 like Global Catalog and infrastructure master doesn`t work on the same DC if more domains are includet !!!
9.) Often a destination for instanc a facility in Honallulu will be closed and big among of the peole who works there are working on in an other destination of the company. This process ´has influence of your UO design, because in the most cases the faccility will be closed after migaration and so you have to delete the old uo and put the old account`s and privelegs to the other destinations uo.
10.) Remember Exchange 2000 make changes to the shema.
11.) Remember only Shema Admins can change the shema.
ok that`s all I can explain in english. There a several keypoint`s you should look also, but I can`t explain them my english is to bad for it.
12.) Trusts (unidrectional / bedirectional /transcentief)
13.) Kerberos Authentification
14.) Replications between DC`s
15.) Placing of DNS and DCs for reducing network transfer by log on.
16.)Linking ploicys
17.) No Override
18.) migrating master and resource domains to win2k.
ok that was all. This are several keypoints but u must learn a lot more to pass but look espacially at this points. This points are no secrets everything stands in mspress book 70-217 and 70-216 and also 70-218. I would recommand to read 70-217 mspress if you don`t have or to fly over the book again if you had read it but don`t rember thinks like i have read.
