enforce client computers "Log Off"

| I have problem configuring user "Log off" after a period of idle time, and NOT "Lock".
This problem rose after configuring each client computer to: "On Resume, Password Protect".
Every time users asking for the User logged last time or local Administrator to “Unlock” that machine.
Is there any work around there, enforce client computers "Log Off", after a period of idle time?
Thank you | |

| If you have active directory installed, AFAIK, you can enforce log off after a certain length of time at the global group or users OU level with a GPO.
The way our instructor is teaching it, it's enforced at the users OU level within Windows settings.
I'm new to AD, though. | |

| You can also simply power fail the computers by simply pulling the plug or holding down the power button for 10+ seconds. |
