please help with the name of this server!!!

| somebody knows why i canīt use the name "internet" on a DC server?
Today i prepare a new DC with a public DNS (companyx.com.mx) and the servername is "internet".
After run dcpromo and restart, i see a error "the specified user account exists. bla bla bla".... extrange error. i Need to restart and enter on AD restore mode... kill AD and test again!!
I make the same procedure with others 3 servers... same problem!!
when i change the name from "internet" to "server002" or any other name, the promotion take places without problems, SRV are created, DNS working, no event viewer errors, etc!!!
somebody knows why? please help!!!!!!!!!! | |

| The MS Knowledgebase only says that the domain cannot be called Internet because there is a SID that is reserved with that name by default.
It does say that a server can be called Internet but it didn't state whether that server can be a DC. | |

thanks for your response....
but is a real fact!! i prepare 3 pilots servers... and we have THE SAME error on every server we prepare with the INTERNET name....
if we change the name to any other name... everything is fine... what do you believe? | |

| If it happens on three different servers all the time then I have to believe that you can't use the name Internet on a server that is part of a domain. | |

The same. Now the servername is Server001 and i make a CNAME on the dns... so i can ping the server using server001.domain.com.mx and internet.domain.com.mx
