Chances are it's already published. If you go to settings - printers and right click the printer and go to properties you should see a box with list in directory. If it's checked it's already listed in the directory. To make sure go to AD users and computers and do a search for your printer within Active Directory. It should pop up in the search box. If it does you can right click it in the search results then select move to the organizational unit that you want to view it in.

How you have the MCSA cert, and you don't know how to publish a printer, it's a question I better don't ask.
Look for publishing printers with google if you can't do it on microsoft site .. LOL. And then, people ask what in fact MCSA means - nothing? To such a question, I start wondering about if they are all wrong when questions like this appear.
An friendly advice, stop cheating!!

That error message only comes up when you try to create a printer object in AD Users and Computers if the UNC path you specify is to a printer that is shared on a Windows 2000 system.

Windows 2000 automatically publishes printers to AD when you share them unless you uncheck the List in the Directory option. The option to create a printer object in AD Users and Computers is used when you want to publish printers that are shared on pre-Windows 2000 systems.
