I reconfigured my server so that i can have the same internal and external domain name, but after successful installation i cannot retrieve my mails which is being hosted externally. My domain name is att.com.sa this is my incoming and my outgoing mail server also. I think when i try to retrieve mail it is only querying the internal server. Is there any possible solution? Thanks buddies in advance.

¿Same external and internal Domain name? i think what you want to mean is the same internal and external DNS Domain Name configuration.

In that case, you should set your Internal DNS to look up out of your LAN the MX record (an static internal DNS record, for example). Remember: one of the problem with this kind of configuration is that you must have a mirror of your external resources internally; at least, a way to find them.
