| Hi All,
Ok, I have a little under 3 weeks before i take the 217. At this point I now have to decide which practice test suite to use, since Exam essentials does not do a 217 Add On (Bleugh)
I'm looking at Transimulator and the questions seem to be in the right format, but it's not what you would call a household name...
What do you guys use??
Yours (As Always)
Chris

| My prep for everything from 216 on included using the various resources listed in 'The Cheapskates Guide to Guilt-Free Practice Questions' on Certcities. com. This article lists numerous websites and vendors that either have online tests or downloadable trial versions that don't include 'dump' type materials. You could probably generate 300 - 400 questions for 217 using the resources listed here. I like the fact that you get a lot of different points of view this way. Plus it's cheap (free) and instant gratification. Good luck! | |

| Thanks Jeff
I'm starting to hit the panic button now.
I just looked at a few of the exam questions from the Sybex book, and it's talking about transitive trusts!!! Not even MENTIONED in the New Riders Books!!!!!!
Got a little over 14 days

| Make sure to review the exam topics on the Microsoft Training and Certification website. Use this as an outline to review your other sources. Don't panic, relax and let the good brain juices flow to the top. Good Luck | |

| Problem is man, the brain juices are starting to flow out of my ears.... The Beast must have wounded me more than I let on | |

| I remember I was fairly fatigued by the time I got to 217. Press on, It gets easier once you get the cores behind you and have less and less ahead of you. Remember the guy who swam halfway accross the channel, then gave up and swam back? This is like your half-way mark. | |

| It would be, only my track now takes me straight into the 2k3 upgrades and then a Citrix certification too... 4 down, 5 to go | |

| In that case take it a step at a time, finish this segment as a discreet component, then the next phase and so on. | |

| Glad to hear I am not alone, also feeling a little blown out after the Beast, been away for christmas and have finally started to get back into the books again. Hitting some transcenders and researching what comes up in the MS Knowledge base and Technet.
Your advice is encouraging Jeff, the whole path to MCSE is a little daunting sometimes, nice to get feedback from somebody who has been there. | |

| Another thing that helps to motivate is to plot out your studies on a calendar. Figure how many chapters from your book that you want to cover in a week, pencil in some lab and review time, pencil in your test date, etc. Good luck all! | |

| After passing the 216 with one week of studing a couple hours per night and cram about 5hrs in the night before the test I feel worn but on the other hand I'm in the grove/study mode and having spent alot on time on DNS and knowing that 217 will have DNS I can spend more time on the GPO type of questions. So keep it going I'am. | |
