i am trying to find any documents that tell me when you would require further domains with a site or sites. Cant find anything as yet i know that replications user logon reques and resource access has a major impact.

Best worded info I have read on this topic is the Deployment Guide for Server 2003. Very clear and specific explanations about when to create sites, domains ect.

Chapters 9-10 of the Server 2000 Deployment Guide do this fairly well, less reading, but not as specific. Either one will get you your answers.

I could be wrong but I think this is what jeff was referring to inregards to 2000.

Yep, that's it! Thanks for the assist Fugaz13! Chapter 9 will give you a pretty good general idea about sites etc. There are no hard numbers in that doc though. The 2003 DPG does have more specific info, but it's a longer read.

But I have a feeling that these numbers are based on a lot of practical customer experience with Windows 2000.
