| Hi, now after getting my MCSA cert. I am going to do my 217 exam, as I can see I need more lab study in my home network.
What I like to do is to connect my home network with one of my friend’s home network.
See the attachment below.
I know that the internet interfaces of the Router and Modem are dynamically assingend IP addresses but that don’t stop me trying to connect the two Sites, as I just whant to connect them temporary for just the time they get there IP addresses and before the lease time expire.
I could telnet the DSL router in NET1 from NET2 and access it’s CLI.
I tried to add routing from NET2 to NET1.
But couldn’t find the Gateway to use for getting to NET1, I couldn’t use the internet interface for the router 62.167.92.128 as it is not in the same subnet for the DSL Modem 62.167.94.248.
any suggestion to over come that.

| I would recommend connecting both of your interfaces to a dynamic DNS service such as
http://www.dynu.com
This way, you can make your links through URL resolution.

| Yes Adam use a dynamic dns and this will sort your problems up. Both you and him. SO whenever you all get online the dynamic dns updater will update your ip's and you can connect both networks. | |

| Thanks;
I have heard about Dynamic DNS service in some web sites, is it a service and an application I have to install in my machines, or just a service?

| The service varies from organization to organization. I use Dynu at home for a single cable modem connection.
I load a client application onto one of my computers, and it reports the public IP address to the server on a schedule of my choosing. You can also force it to report with the client application's interface.
