| It is because the domain partition will not go over SMTP, only schema and config partitions. Use SMTP links in situations where only demand dial connections are present. | |

but if you have an unreliable connection between sites for the same domain, mean using IP?
IP used normally if you have a reliable permenent connection in between such as T1.

but if I have an unreliable connection between sites for the same domain, should I use IP connection object?

| If 2 sites are connected by an unreliable link you may want to create an additional domain and do replication using e-mail. |
