Author Question to end the weekend

Heres a little question to end the weekend with...

You are the network administrator for a large electrical spares company called The Spares Shop which is based in Italy. The network consists of a single forest, and two domains. The root domain, sparesshop.net is running in mixed mode and a child domain france.sparesshop.net is running is native mode.

This Windows 2000 domain has been running successfully for nearly two years, and during that time your assistant administrator has been deleting numerous objects from the parent domain that are no longer required in order to maintain performance at optimum levels. However, you notice that even after all this time the NTDS.DIT file has never reduced in size, in fact over the past two years it has grown larger.

What should you do? (Choose all that apply)

A) Nothing. You are looking at the wrong file, as NTDS.DIT stores NT Directory Services configuration settings.

B) Restart the server as this file will clear down all tombstoned objects during the shutdown process.

C) Restart the server in Directory Services Restore Mode.

D) Run the esentutl utility by using the /d switch.

E) Use the ntdsutil utility to compress the database to another drive.

F) Delete the objects from the Lost & Found container.

Answer on Monday!
