If you use DCPROMO on a DC then the DC will be demoted, which will stop DC1 from being a GC as it would no longer be a DC.

The correct method is to use ADS&S.

Going into ADRM and using the ntdsutil allows you to reduce the space used by AD (but I cannot think of the command at the moment, but it maybe the one given which is "compact to").

As there is no mention of ADRM then I would not choose that one either.

If there is no GC then the first DC will be automatically configured. If there is already a GC, then you will have to use ADS&S to specify which DC will be the GC.

DC5 will become a DC from a member.

The right answer is b,d
But I thought it was a,b,d because dcpromo make a DC=>member (so GC removed by default)
Thanks!
